⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars
Puttha Utthayan and Pra Mongkol Ming Muang (พุทธอุทยานพระมงคลมิ่งเมือง) is honestly one of the most peaceful and spiritually uplifting places I've visited in Mukdahan. The massive Buddha statue on top of the hill is breathtaking — you can feel a deep sense of calm just standing near it. The view from the top is something else… you get to see the whole city and even the Mekong River, especially at sunset. That moment alone is worth the visit.
The park is very clean and well-maintained. I enjoyed walking along the peaceful paths surrounded by nature. It’s a great spot to clear your mind, take in some fresh air, and just be still for a while. You’ll find locals and tourists, monks, families, and solo travelers — everyone comes here with respect and a quiet heart.
There are small vendors around too, which is nice if you want something to drink or maybe grab a local snack. I also saw a few amulets and souvenirs being sold near the entrance.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because there’s not much English information available. It would’ve been even better if there were signs or explanations in multiple languages to help visitors understand more about the history and meaning behind the place.
Still, I highly recommend this place if you’re in Mukdahan. Whether you're into Thai culture, Buddhism, or just want a break from the busy world, this is a great spot to reflect and recharge...

Theres a basketball court here in decent condition. Pick up games can be had in the late afternoon. Be sure to shake the lucky red sticks in the area to the left of the Big Buddha. There are public toilets available no charge. Squatters only with...
