We did the Chao Phraya Princess cruise on a weeknight, it was a good experience overall. They have 3 rows of tables on either side of the middle row, which was 3 or 4 tables across. So you could be looking over several people to try to catch a glimpse of the view during your meal. Luckily, we asked to be moved to a better spot and they happily accommodated us. I believe the sooner you book, the better your table. Great views can be had on the bow of the boat, even if you end up at a bad table. The meal was good and a wide variety, but I didn't try everything. The desserts aren't super sweet, but I prefer that and they had a decent selection. The staff and musical talent were excellent! They take a photo of you before boarding and you can purchase the photo in a simple frame for 200 baht, very reasonable for something like this. White Luxury Dinner Cruise. Bad. Queuing for the tickets was bad, just a mad chaotic crowd with no instructions or signs. Ticketing was bad. There was a mistake in the tickets and table number. First, they wrongly assigned a table for 5 to two families. After realising their mistake, they tried to squeeze my family of 5 into a table for 4. When we protested, they set up a new table for us, right in front of the loud speakers. Food was bad. Very limited selection and very cheap food. Mad rush at the buffet queue, repeating the chaos of the Ticketing experience. Music was way too loud. Only 1 set of speakers at 1 end of the boat. Diners on this side of the boat get their eardrums ruptured by the ear-piercing loudness and constant overloading feedback. Dinners at the other end of the boat don't hear much. We decided to splash out on what we thought would be a romantic dinner cruise for our last night in Bangkok... Anything but. Half an hour before boarding we were lined up into a queue which quickly became a crush of people, where we remained stuck in the unbearable heat and claustrophobia till they finally allowed us to board. Once on board we discovered our seats were pre arranged anyway and there was no need to line up. The buffet meal options were not bad, but the experience of fighting through hordes of hungry passengers all trying to get their fill, did not make for enjoyable dining.
