Outstanding day, you have to do this at least once whilst you are in Bangkok or Thailand. We got s big hut for 10 of us, smaller huts are available for 2 or 4 people. The lineboys will hook them up for you, you fight the fish to bring him in, then they slide it on board the deck & help you get a photo like this. Then you can kiss it & it is returned to the lake. You hire the hut, rods reels & gear which you get for 12 hours (either 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am). The hut we had has its own bedfoom & ensuite. Food was good, mostly Thai (but you are in Thailand) & you can buy beer, spirits & soft dtink as much as you like. Make a big day of it as we did. Bungsamran is such a nice place to be and fish, it has huge fish and you get lots of bites during the day. The cabins for rent is tidy and well maintained. The only downside is the old people running the place. They are so rude for no reason. They shrug us off and when we say thank you they just look at you and say nothing back. It’s one lady at the front desk and one lady in the tackle shop. Why can’t you just be nice? How do you expect me to know everything about the place and what to do if it’s my first time there. It’s such a shame for that place, they need new managers and employees asap. Those people are ruining the place. And also it doesn’t hurt to smile a little bit. Its clear on the public website that locals and foreigners are charged differently. They did offer a discount for those foreigners with work permits and apec cards. We received a discount offer for the group and accepted the offer. We turning up after a long drive from the city and the rate doubled and they claimed that it was a typo and laughed at us.
