Thai Country Club — Local services in Chachoengsao Province

Thai Country Club truly lives up to its reputation for elegance and heritage. The clubhouse is beautifully maintained, blending luxury and tradition. The locker room facilities are top-tier, featuring a spacious jacuzzi, a tundra cold plunge tub, and even Dyson hair dryers, an impressive touch.

The restaurant also exceeded expectations. I had the lobster bisque, which was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted, rich, flavourful, and perfectly executed. The red Mamasan curry chicken was equally satisfying, with generous portions and great depth of flavour.

As for the golf course itself, the conditions were pristine. The layout is scenic and thoughtfully designed. Its generally flat terrain makes it accessible and enjoyable even for higher-handicap players, without compromising on the experience or beauty of the course.

That said, my overall experience was impacted by being paired with two caddies who, unfortunately, did not meet the club's otherwise high standards. They were often chatting amongst themselves during play and were unable to convert distances from yards to meters. While that’s understandable, giving inaccurate distance information is not. On the greens, I was repeatedly told the pace was fast when it was clearly not, I kept coming up short. Their line reads were also consistently off, making it difficult to rely on their advice.

Despite the caddie experience, Thai Country Club is an exceptional facility, and I would still recommend it for its heritage, course quality, and hospitality. I hope my next visit reflects the high standards that the club is known for in...

Premise was quite posh. Greetings staff were great and overall feel was good.

The course was very good with nice fairways and good greens. The fairways felt like the ones on PGA tour, nice fluffy grass but the ball managed to roll. The greens were also readable and quite consistent, none of that some fast some slow greens.

Well maintained course. And the caddies were also hardworking and nice too! Very good.

The food at the Resto was Ok, nothing to shout about.

The reason why it's 5 stars? The course. It's got to be one of the best courses I have ever played. Showed from the caddies too. They respected the course and they took care to drive carefully and at certain locations only too.

Lightning quick greens and nice course but I wouldn't pay 6000 baht green fee to play here.

No real holes stood out for me and every tee shot was basically carrying a fairway bunker. Boring.

It was also very busy and slow but I think that's because they jam in so many groups.

It's also an hour out of Bangkok so be prepared for at least a 1,000 baht round trip.

My caddy was your typical indifferent caddy just doing the four hours for her tip.

Anyway there's definitely better value out there.
