This is one of the oldest Wats in the Chaiyaphum area. Its nested right next to the Phu Lan Kha National Park entrance. As such, there are lots of wild monkeys in the trees above the Wat. There is also a school here for young monks, a refuge for injured animals, and some incredible views on this hilly location. A hidden gem.

A large pond is on the property and you can buy bread from the shop and feed the hungry fish and support the Wat. In the sprawling complex, there are some beautiful buildings and a graphic depiction of 'hell' from a Buddhist perspective. Worth a quick stop if you are in the area.
