Wat Weluwan (Wat Pan Ciang) — Local services in Chiang Mai Province

An interesting temple sitting at the top of a flight of steps. Beneath it is a large and airy gathering area.

The grounds are large and there seemed to be preparations underway for a celebration or ceremony.

Several locals and a couple of monks kept an eye on the barking/growling temple dogs to make sure they behaved as I wandered the grounds.

치앙마이시내에서 사라피지구를 거쳐서 람푼으로 가는 국도변에 있는 사원입니다. 거대한 고목들 사이에 자리잡은 사원.

사원은 큰 규모가 아니며 본당과 예배당 출입문 모두 전형적인 북부지역의 란나형식을 따르고 있는 사원입니다.

사원바로앞에 몇가지 간식거리와 음식을 판매하고 있으며 유명한 고승이나 왕실사원이 아니라 지역 주민들이 찾는 로컬 사원입니다.
