East from Jomtien, or south-east from Pattaya, there are some very interesting temples which are not at all too far to have a half day trip. Wat Khao Bunmeedararam was the first of them on our trip. The temple is popular, there were several buses coming and going with their Asian tourists having their temple visit. Especially, the main statue of the temple is worth of mention (see the pic): Instead of the leniently smiling Buddha statue there is sitting something... I don't know if the statue represents something scary or cruel or even something benevolent and in any case something which I cannot name. But it doesn't matter, I don't believe in statues, anyway. Wat Khao Bunmeedararam is a beautiful temple, not maybe the most impressive on our morning trip but, to be sure, absolutely worth of visit...
