Unique temple with a main turtle theme that is impressive and diverse. a more standard white snake temple with a moat. a pet cremation facility and more standard seperate cremation facility.
it is beautiful, easy to find, close to Pattaya less than 30 minutes and about 10 minutes from several other popular attractions such as Khao Chi Chan (Buddha Mountain), Viharn Sien and Chinese style temple and museum plus access to a lake allowing the release of fish, frogs, turtles and Wat Yansangwararam. in addition Noong Nooch gardens are close. there are several restaurants including the Italian themed Bella that has several photo opportunities.
the temple has enough parking for now but if it becomes popular with tourists they will need more parking, there are a couple of vendors selling snacks and coffee. they have decent restroom facilities and most everything is wheelchair accessible. either flat, ramp. one ramp is steep tho and one building a step over.
the main Turtle worship building has several worship stations. the larger blue turtle is designed to walk thru enough to the monks station, to the right side are several smaller turtles with dragon heads for each day of the week plus, there are several stone worship balls to cover with gold leaf, further to the back is the monk receiving area with 2 or 3 worship areas, back out in the main turtle area is a godess statue over water to allow for placing the floating flowers. on the left side of the turtle is a pleasant area with a Buddha worship area and tables to both relax in the shade as well as allow writing on metal plate for a seperate worship area. next to this on the outside of the building are several large rocks with smooth face each paying respect to a Buddha, king or each of the 12 animal from the Chinese zodiac. between this and the building are 12 more animal zodiac figures with the body of a turtle and head of the animal.
