One of my greatest joys when staying in Thailand is seeking out places like this. I love Temples. Each one is different and has its own character. This place feels like it's in the back of beyond, situated at the top of a hill, providing some great views. I think there must be people on pilgrimage or studying here; a number of people dressed in white costumes. There's a small grotto built into the side of the platform supporting the main statue. I loved this place. Wat Song Metta Wanaram is an adventure. I have visited already quite many Buddhist temple areas, but nowhere I haven't felt like this. I was fascinated. You could spend in Wat Song Metta Wanaram for hours, admiring Buddhist statues, Buddhist small scale architecture, breathing the atmosphere.
