4 hours group chanting every night 7pm-11pm and if you prefer to meditate silently in the Sala hall instead of chant, you are told by the monks that you are not a serious practitioner and should not be staying at the monastery. I asked the head monk for an alternative forest monastery he could recommend I visit instead, and he said he doesn't know and waved me off and said to go sleep in the forest instead..

I have been to 22 monasteries so far and no place has ever tried to shame me for not chanting, let alone tell me I'm not a serious practitioner if I prefer to simply meditate in the hall during the group sittings.

At least the American monk was helpful and had good intentions. The others that were there don't behave as noble disciples.

There were a few other unpleasant instances of rudeness and dismay I've experienced during my short stay here. This is the kind of monastery where dhamma is preached but...
