I am all to support the Karen and such but this is pure greed. I live in Thailand for over 20 years and can get in most national parks for the Thai price. But not here...because in their words this is private business. 250 baht is not worth it for what you are going to see, it is very touristy and too small and from my 20 year long experience in Thailand, the long neck girls here are not real but fake. I am sure they wear the neck ornament only during the day when selling and remove it later in their homes. You only see a couple of old ladies with the real thing. The market is tiny and all sellers carry the same overpriced products. I cant recommend this place although I would love to, 250 baht is an outrageous fee for a place like this. The drive there is beautiful and worth far more than this tourist...

Long Neck Karen people, they immigrated from Karen state of Myanmar long times ago. They have no nationality, but Thai government still support their community by giving hilltribe-card in order to go to the hospital and have an education as a basic Thai citizen should be.

This village is an authentic village, not make up for business. Karen people here are friendly and nice. They gave me an information and gave me trying her neck rings. Some of them can speak English too.

For foreigners ; the entrance fee is 250 THB this money will help improving their community. Also hand-made clothes here are super cheap like 150-300 THB I would like to support community here to have a better quality of life.

Maybe from buying their products and sharing about this Long Neck...

DON'T GO! I would give 0 stars if I could... How to ask for 250 baht to enter a small alley with some souvenir shops sold by Karen women? They say there are 30 Karen long neck women there but I saw less than 10 in the entire village. Everybody is selling the same things, some goods aren't handmade but machine made ... It is a horrible place to go to, nothing ethical, nothing to do with the authentic hill tribe life. They expect you to pay that money for nothing in return, and of course the tax is only applicable to foreigners like we are all seen as money gold. As unethical...

We read the reviews before coming, wanting to form our own opinions. Alas... it's really just a tourist trap. You pay the entrance fee of 250 Bhat, the man who takes the money assures you it will be distributed among the woman but it feels fishy. The Long Neck Women are kind and beautiful, but once you walk through their market, all they are doing is trying to sell "handmade" goods. Some are handmade, for sure, most are not. I wonder why these women are wearing the jewelry still, is it for cultural tradition or tourism? I felt like I learnt nothing by coming here.
