I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lad Tainod's Green Market, a vibrant Sunday market located in the lesser-known town of Pattalung in southern Thailand. As soon as I arrived at the market, I was struck by the lively atmosphere and colorful displays of fresh fruits, vegetables, and local handicrafts. Unlike some of the more touristy markets I've visited in Thailand, Lad Tainod's Green Market felt like a true local experience. Aside from the food, I was also impressed by the variety of local handicrafts on offer at the market. Overall, my visit to Lad Tainod's Green Market was one of the highlights of my trip to southern Thailand. It was a true immersion into local culture and a chance to connect with the friendly, welcoming people...

Very interesting place to visit. It s basically a themed local market. Everything is made out of natural materials, bamboo, hey and timber stuffs. And also the shops are not allowed to use plastic. No plastic cups or plates or cutlery if u buy food n drink. No plastic bag when u buy stuffs. I am told by one of the shop s owners that they will be fined by the market boss if they r caught using plastic or with untidy surrounding. I wish everywhere has a rule like this applied.

The market sells mostly food and drinks, local desserts, sweets and local produce. There s a band playing, a quiet library where u can stop and rest, a stage with instruments opens for anyone who wants to play. I think it s a...

This place run by a great musician Pi Yut, dedicated to his late brother who was a famous writer in Thailand. It's a community gathering place, where all the local farmers come every Sunday with their Organic fresh produce and sell directly to the consumer at below market prices. Pi Yut started something extraordinary here. He is helping his community by sharing his land with his neighbors from all over Phatthalung and other neighboring provinces and growing his own organic vegetables to share with who ever comes as a guest. I love traveling for this exact reason, to find Pi Yuts around the...

A Wonderful Market with a Festival Vibe This market is truly a gem! What makes it special is its commitment to sustainability—plastic is largely avoided, which is a big plus. The atmosphere feels more like a small food festival, with live music playing throughout the area and a lively, welcoming vibe. There’s an incredible variety of food, catering to all tastes, and even a bit of an alternative touch, making it stand out from typical markets. Families will appreciate the activities available for children, making it a great spot for all ages. If you’re in the area, this market is definitely worth a visit!
