Sharing direct experience from staying at Have a good day at Pranburi (Pause Pranburi):
Upon checking in, we asked for help to move our luggages to the room. We followed up twice, waited for almost 1 hour, in the end no one came to help, we had to carry everything by ourselves.
The accommodation was not very clean. The wooden floor in the room was too slippery; to the point where you could slip and fall just by walking.
There were a lot of insects in the room. Our family had wounds and rashes resulting from the insect bites, beware.
The public space-facing facade of the bathroom is made of a see-through glass pane. The shower curtain which was suppose to cover the facade when the bathroom is in use, could not close properly. When taking a shower, people from the outside of the room would be able to see you. If you don't want to be seen taking a shower or doing your personal business in the bathroom, turn off the lights when doing so.
The accommodation advertised that it was a 2-storey house, but in reality, only the first floor was functional.
Because the ladder to the second floor is fixed at a 90 degrees angle, it was very narrow (If you want to go up to the second floor, you should use two hands to hold on to the ladder firmly. It can be very dangerous). Because of this inconvenience, nothing of significance can be carried to the second floor.
During the stay, there were many local dogs and many stray dogs walking around the accommodation area (We were told by the staff to be careful of the dogs, because they were unfriendly and prone to bite.)
Also at night, the dogs would bark all night long. These problems were reported to the manager and owner. Their response was that this place is pet friendly, local dogs and stray dogs can walk in. Guests must understand and adapt.
The food is very expensive. Each dish costs about 600 baht. The taste is not delicious. The quality of the ingredients is not good at all, and orders must be placed before 5 pm.
The manager and the owner did not display any service mindset, instead of observing or inspecting, they expected us to inform them of the problems with justifications (the problem-solving and sense of responsibility are sub-zero).
What we learned is that if they are not happy to take responsibility, then they will not hold themselves responsible.
We will not ask for any improvement because it is an individual matter. We can only tell those who are looking to stay at this place to "Think carefully."
"Have a good day at Pranburi" and "Pause Pranburi" are the same place. Try to look at the 1-star reviews before deciding.
We know that it is the same place after we have paid.
Normally before booking, we would check the reviews carefully. We found that “Have a good day at Pranburi” has very good reviews. However, after paying for the booking, when we found out and went to check the reviews of Pause Pranburi, we were worried.
But had a glimmer of hope that they might have used the feedback to improve + we already paid all the money to the accommodation.
So we decided to go, to see for ourselves, experience it for ourselves, give them a chance.
But in the end, this accommodation really went beyond our worst expectations. The information above is just some of what our family encountered.
If everyone receives some of the information that we have written and still decides to choose this place, I wish you good luck and that you don't encounter what we encountered. May you be safe, happy, and comfortable throughout the trip.
That's all. Thank you to everyone who read until the end and I hope it was...
Read morepet can stay with additional cost but not friendly becuase of slippery floor material and local dog nearby. Not enough room space for our dogs' matress.
The room is really really small. The space management inside the room is really bad, not practical for relaxing at all. Even just 2 people stay, it's uncomfortable. We have to manage everything ourself on the 1st night. Really exhausting.
I personally feel they don't provide the neccessary facilities for staying. Looks good & photogenic but doesn't good for living. For example, I dont need a Nespresso machine value 10K but I need proper space to put my luggage bags on.
No TV but can ask for projector. The room space hasn't designed for a projector so we have to manage space & set up on our own.
Climbing the stair to under-roof floor is quite risky. Please be careful.
The scenery view is as nice as it is showed.
We found ants in our room. Our dogs were bit, including me! It was very itchy and...
Read moreMy first time staying and trying the ‘pause & tune’ package which is exactly what we needed from the hustle and bustle city life. We were reminded to be mindful of our emotions and feelings since we arrived and calibrated to the nature with sound healing in the nature.
The next day is filled with wholesome activities the meals prepared and the bbq was also great but what makes this whole place the most special is the hospitality from k Yui, k Tum, and whole team staff. The attention to detail of the whole experience made our stay feel welcoming and relaxing. We can tell the team put a lot of intentions and effort in the environment and crafting the program for the guests to have the best experience would definitely be back and would recommend everyone...
