Skydiving Experience at Dropzone Thailand: From Zero to A-License
As someone who had never done skydiving before—let alone tandem skydiving—I was amazed at how quickly I progressed through my AFF course and earned my A-License, all within less than 10 days. This dropzone places a strong emphasis on prioritizing students, ensuring that we get our jumps in, even during busy times. There were instances when the Load Organizer, Adam, moved me into earlier loads, and one time, the owner even took his own name off the manifest so I could jump. It's clear they wanted me to succeed, especially since I visited during the low season.
My instructors, Mannish and Kong, were excellent. They provided just the right amount of information, which is crucial for a student like me who has ADHD and sometimes struggles to focus. Initially, I was concerned that skydiving might not be the best idea for someone like me, but my instructors were incredibly patient. They took the time to sit with me, ensuring I stayed on the right path. Mannish also stayed late on a few occasions so that I would progress quicker whilst ensuring my safety.
While I can't speak for every staff member, the ones I interacted with were very kind. Skydiving as a beginner can be challenging because experienced flyers often prefer not to spend their time with newcomers. This probably is a personal experience but I found it not easy to make any new friends in the fun jumper room. However, Sabi, Kong, and Mannish went out of their way to do fun jumps with me outside of their working hours, which I appreciated. On a few occasions beyond working hours, my bike wouldn't start, or I ran out of fuel, and Kong and Sabi helped me in the middle of the night. This was incredibly kind of them.
Sabi is a proficient skydiver who also went out of her way to always debrief my landings and jumps. This was incredibly helpful for my progression and considerate of her. Another staff member who made a significant impact was Max. He's highly skilled. When I made a few mistakes unknowingly, he pointed them out constructively, rather than criticizing me, which was very professional. If you ever have the chance to tandem with them, consider yourself lucky. As for my instructor, Kong is the best—exceptionally professional, patient and dedicated.
As for the amenities, the food isn't great or cheap, but it's reasonable. The ground staff and front desk team are very friendly and helpful, and the student rooms are extremely...

Wait time was too long which can hamper your excitement, they had 2 airplanes, only 1 was in services , so it was taking 25-30 minutes for every flight.... And only 4 people could go for each flight.... My serial was 12 and I had to wait for...
This was my first time skydiving and my instructor Laura was super chill, gave me clear instructions and made the jump amazing. Service at the front desk was great, simple and easy to check in and fill the forms.
Just something to be aware of and not sure if this is a common or a rare occurrence - I chose the 10am pickup (on a Saturday) from hotel and when we arrived it was very busy. It was a very long wait until the time I jumped, then also waiting for the other bus passengers to do their jump as well. I did not get back to my hotel until around 7pm that night. So perhaps something to be mindful of and maybe don't make plans for the afternoon until you're on your way back to Pattaya.
It's about a 1.5hr drive from Pattaya but the bus is comfy.
There is also a shooting range there with various packages. Pretty standard pricing - approx 1000thb for 10rds of 9mm with a pistol - just...
