As a farang I am dismayed at the ever increasing "Disneyland," style Buddhist theme parks with garish caves, giant statues and nagas overboard. Well this temple seems to be a real working temple. We were even served by a monk when buying the standard 20 baht flowers and incense sticks. He did not want to touch the money which also a good sign. Apparently there is a high regarded fortune telling monk who does it by palmistry. We missed that but my devotee wife carried out a fine ritual and was well satisfied. I suspect the Buddha was also. As I said, this place seems the real deal set in a forest and not trying to extract your hard...
