My visit to Eveandboy Hatyai turned into a nerve-wracking experience, despite the staff's attempt to be professional. I had barely spent 10 minutes in the store, and as I was walking out, an employee hurried over and asked me to wait while they checked something. They didn't explain much at first, so I was left feeling like they were accusing me of stealing or something. I even showed them the contents of my bag to prove I didn't take anything. As it turned out, they suspected me of breaking something. Here's what happened: I was putting the tumbler that I was holding back on the rack when a pouch with a free fragrance fell and broke. It wasn't due to direct contact but because it had been precariously placed on the edge.
I tried to help by picking up the pouch and place it back on the rack, but that made them think I was responsible. Feeling like a criminal when you're just trying to shop is definitely not a good feeling. I hope sharing this helps them improve how they handle these things in the future, so others don't have to go through the same confusion and stress. This incident should also serve as a reminder for them to carefully place fragile items in safer spots and not to hastily attribute blame to customers who happen to be nearby, which would have completely prevented such incidents from occurring in the...
