This is an organic market one will cross on the way to Maesot - a bordering city to Myanmar in Thailand.

On the left side, there is a souvenir shop. This is a large market one can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, and some exotic food. Dried fruits, vegetables, meat, and insects are also available at reasonable prices.

Hi, by the way, try the crispy pork skin fries. It's good. You will get it for 150 THB. There are a few types, but try the one with some spices packed in an airtight (puffed)...

That was an experience. I started early in the morning from Nakhon Sawan and was at the market at around 8:30 o'clock. It was really cold. Hadn't expected to be that cold in Thailand. It is a long way uphill with an incline of 8%. The people are mainly "Muser". Very friendly. The market serves local people living in the mountain area. A lot of fresh fruit brought up by vans. Behind the market in a small alley deep fried chicken and sticky rice is sold. Last Visit |...

Sorry no photos. What a cracking market. The widest variety of fruit and veg I have seen in one place at one time. Fresh tea leaf and coffee bean also available. The prices were very low even compared to the local wet markets in Hua Hin. I suppose that's due to availability and lack of carriage costs. If passing, stop and spend a little time there. My wife's still trying to work out how to do a weekly...

If you're in the market for fruit and vegetables, this is a good place to shop. Good quality produce and nicely presented. Honey for sale too. As for snacks, they sell many flavors of fried pork skin, and beef jerky as well. Not a destination in itself, but worth a stop on the road between Tak and Mae Sot.
