Wat Phu Taphao Thong — Local services in Udon Thani Province

Wonderful place set on the hillside with a beautiful view across the valley. I love the way they've made use of the natural geological features (huge boulders) and incorporated them into the Temple site. There are two fountain pools with water spraying from serpent heads. Some construction is going on further up the site, a new pond, and what might be a new modern accommodation block. Giant ancient rocks around the temple. Well kept and managed. Very peaceful to walk around. There are 2 water fountain surrounded by golden Naga (serpent) statue. The first rock you see once enter the area of the fountain looks like a shape of a boat with red palm printed on the rock, confirmed to be over 2500 years old. Plenty of parking space and restrooms. #ไผจุดธูปน้อ. คนงานเพิ่นแพ้กลิ่นธูปหลายหายใจบ่ออกเฮ็ดงานบ่ได้แล้ว พร้อมกับเดินมาตรงกระถางธูปที่หนูกับแฟนพึ่งจุดไป จับธูปมาดับ กับคำว่า "ขอทานนำเด้อปู่"😦😦 นี่คือสิ่งที่หนูรู้สึกไม่ดีและเสียความรู้สึกมากแต่ไม่พูดและไม่ตอบโต้ แต่ขอชื่นชมคุณแม่ที่อยู่ประจำจุดตอบแม่คนงานไปอย่างสุภาพ ว่า "อ่อจ้าเดี่ยวสิบอกเพิ่นดอกบาดนี่ว่าบ่ให้จุดธูป" ครั้งหน้าหนูว่าจะไปใหม่อีกรอบเพราะรู้สึกว่าการขอพรในครั้งนี้ไม่มีสมาธิและความรู้สึกดีๆตรงจุดนั้นมันน้อยไป **จริงๆแล้วแขกหรือนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาจากที่อื่นเค้าก็ไม่รู้หรอกนะคะว่าใครแพ้กลิ่นธูปหรือไม่แพ้ แต่คำพูดหรือกิริยาที่แสดงออกควรระวัง --อาจจะเดินมาบอกแม่ที่ดูแลจุดว่ารบกวนแจ้งเพิ่นให้หน่อยเด้อว่าตรงจุดขออนุญาตบ่ให้จุดธูป มีคนแพ้ธูป แขกลงไปเเล้วค่อยเอาธูปไปดับก็ได้ไม่ใช่พูดเสียงดังเหมือนต่อว่าเลยแล้วก็เอาธูปไปดับแบบนี้อ่ะค่ะ ขอบคุณค่ะ...
