It’s not easy to get to Sea of Mist Gunung Silipat. Our little car, with its underpowered engine, struggled a bit soon after we left Highway 41 and got onto a narrow country road. In the beginning we drove on paved roads in the valley but soon we were climbing steep slopes and making sharp turns as the road zigzagged upslope. The now paved, now unpaved road got narrower and narrower as we pushed on. If there were another car coming in the opposite direction, I truly would not know how to not get knocked off the cliffs. Fortunately, there weren’t any other cars that day but us.

From there, one can hike for half an hour to a spot at the peak where he can watch the sea of mist in early mornings. We arrived too late for the mist so we forwent the hike; maybe another time.
However, the view of the mountains was still spectacular, as shown in the attached pictures.
I’d recommend another place to see the sea of mist (check my previous postings). If you still choose to come here, I suggest you...

Amazing spot...
