Kotu Bridge — Local services in Kanifing Municipal Council

A nice location with beautiful scenery, the bridge is a bit rusty but serves as a perfect spot to watch the stream from underneath it. Once clearly sees small fish in the water on most times of the day, there’s a bird watching platform just next to the bridge with gives a Birds Eye view of the who ecosystem. Just under the platform is a good picnic spot. Good thing is that i didn’t have to pay to use the platform.

Boats are available for boat trips at the same place.

If you want to see birds then this is a really great place. You can stand on the bridge and see a lot, but you can also take a boat trip with a guide. That really provides great added value. You see many birds at a short distance. Our guide then also took us on foot through the grounds, which in turn yielded other birds (boat trip and walk together for 15 euros). Highly recommended! At 10:30 the vultures (and kites) are fed, but that didn't lead to much...
