1 star each for Burger King and Kofteci Yusuf...the only 2 establishments that are feeding the emaciated dogs roaming the rest stop. They are also the only 2 routinely calling the Gemlik Municipality to try and get the dogs relocated to a shelter. The rest of the shops are doing nothing but watch and enjoy the dogs die slowly. I was there 2 week ago and I saw one dog biting to get to the water in a discarded water bottle. Not seeing any bowl around me, I let the dog drink water out of my hands! The shopkeeper women behind me just smiled at me as I went to wash my hands. I wanted to yell at them "don't smile at me! Just put a %!@%ing water bowl out!" He was so so thirsty! He trailed me to our car and looked so utterly grateful! These dogs are docile even though they are so hungry! They must have been abandoned there. Don't spend a darn lira at...
