Dalam perjalanan menuju Cappadocia, kami sempatkan berhenti sejenak di kawasan pegunungan Taurus ( Taurus mountains ) untuk sekedar menikmati pemandangan alam yang sangat indah, bermain salju serta mengambil foto - foto sebagai kenang - kenangan. Pegunungan Taurus adalah pegunungan batu kapur yang membentuk lanskap karsit dengan air terjun, sungai dan gua - gua. Memiliki beberapa puncak gunung yang memiliki ketinggian diantara 3000 sd 3700 m diatas permukaan laut.

Excursie via tui eerst met een jeep door het gebergte van de taurus het was echt zalig om te kunnen genieten van de stille natuur. Dan Een oud lokaal dorpje weesten gaan bezoeken met ongeveer een 300 inwoners en als afsluiter 30min weesten raften.

جبال طوروس هي سلسلة جبلية تقع جنوب شرق منطقة شرق الأناضول التركية، وينحدر منها نهر الفرات إلى سوريا. أعلى قممها هو جبل جيلو (4168 م)، تليها باتجاه الغرب جبال بتليس وملاطية وتخته لي. تستمر جبال طوروس باتجاه الغرب مقتربة من البحر المتوسط، فترسم قوساً مقعرة باتجاه الشمال، تحتضن حوضي قونية وبحيرة اقيردير، لتنتهي في الغرب بمرتفعات إلمه لي (3086 م)، غرب خليج أنطالية، وتشكل جبال طوروس الحد الفاصل بين بلاد الشام وبين الأناضول.

جبال طوروس الوطن الأم لشجر الأرز، التي بدأت بالاضمحلال بعد قطعها وإزالتها بطرق عشوائية في الأعوام الماضية لدرجة أن بعض الأراضي أصبحت غير ملائمة لزراعة أشجار الأرز. تم زراعة 300 مليون بذرة من بذور شجرة الأرز على ارتفاع 1,900 م فوق سطح البحر في مدة 8 أشهر. وقد بلغ وزن البذور...
