My fiancé and I enjoyed this beach for 2 days. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are affordable for a beach hangout area. You can rent a beach bungalow for 400 lira for one day which gave us a bed, table, and a hangout area right on the beachfront which seemed like a good deal. They even gave us a discount of 50 lira for the second day we used the bungalow. There are other cheaper offers for other hangout places but the bungalow was at least isolated and comfortable if you’re worried about covid and being around people.
The food is average but the milkshakes are quite delicious. My gf ordered 2 different salads on different days but she was served the same salad both times so there seem to be generic things offered based upon what you order. I would not recommend the offered seafood platter because even though on the menu the price is around 60+ lira the price ended up being 180 lira and was 40% fish head which doesn’t seem worth it (or tasty). The other food was ok for the prices offered but nothing to write home about. The sea is nice but if it’s too windy there can be trash in the water.
I’d go back here if I come back to...
Read moreThis was a place we visited on our holiday. On mentioning our hotel, we were told of a free beach umbrella where we can sit, order things, and enjoy the sea / view. Your hotel might miss inform that towels will be provided, but that is not the case, and in any case for hygiene purposes, you should go with your own towel. White towels are a no no..not accepted at the beach, but any other colour will do. You can upgrade from the beach umbrella to a full cabana for 700 TL, which is nice. The beach area is clean and the water is clean. The open shower area is also clean, but there is no privacy. You can order burgers, pizzas, fruit selection, and drinks from the station there for a reasonable amount. The only downside was the toilet. It was dark and dingy and not clean. Really gross. Luckily, our hotel was not far, and we held our pee till we got back. Our hotel provided free shuttle to and from the beach, and I think this is the case for most hotels around Lara because it seems like the go-to place for holidaymakers. There are lots of hotels, inns, apartments suits and hostel in that area. It was an enjoyable day at the...
Read moreA nice, sandy beach that we visited. We were staying in a city hotel and wanted to visit Lara Beach. It’s a super long beach, with some public areas and also some private. Reception at the hotel told us about this beach, selling us a voucher for 2 sun beds and 10% off food and drink for 10 euros each
Our visit was in October, so summer may be different. We were greeted in the boardwalk, and shown the loungers we paid for. They were ok, a bit tired, but were padded. The umbrellas were also pretty tired, but worked fine. There was an option to upgrade to a cabana for another 10 euros each, but were only here for a few hours and the padded loungers were fine and two on the front row by the waters edge
The water was great, sandy a bit coarse but not too. There’s a pretty sharp drop off from ankle depth to around 1 metre, worth noting if you have small children.
Service on the beach was great, a couple attendants always available to bring a drink or food ( costs were reasonable). Expect a full day to cost around 40 euros for food and drink per person. WC was...
