UNIQ Istanbul — Local services in Sarıyer

An awful venue that ruined what could have been a great show by the act DARKSIDE on 28.10.2024. The advertised start time was 9pm but the performance didn't start until 10.15pm. This was made worse by the fact that the place was absolutely wedged with no space to move for that entire time spent standing around and waiting while a random DJ and later a dub reggae Spotify playlist went through track after track for what seemed like forever. Why advertise a start time at 9pm when they won't even start setting up the stage until almost an hour later?

Sound quality was decent within 15 metres from the front of the stage but any further back and the music sounded too distant, echoey and muffled. Like background music in a restaurant. This is likely due to the venue having curtains for walls instead of proper sound insulation and concentrating speakers at the very front. This caused people to pack themselves together towards the stage which made the long wait of an hour plus for the act to appear even worse. It is also worsened by the fact that much of the audience wants to dance and have consumed alcohol but there isn't any space for them to move. Moving to the back where you'd have more room just results in random people's conversations being louder than the music.

Tickets were not cheap either at almost 900TL and the 250TL you'd pay for a cup of flat beer certainly didn't help.

Very disappointing show on account of the venue. Most of these issues could have been tolerable if the show had been started on time. I'd recommend any and all international acts coming to Istanbul to find a better venue...

went there for nicolas jaar. the security check was awful and invasive. when they are checking my wife they touched her special parts without asking her permission, because she doesn’t speak turkish i wanted to offer help but they dismissed me. security opened her pads (which should be sanitary and not to be touched) and pads are in their own case what is she thinking to find? security literally put her hands into my wife’s bra without asking her permission and tried to normalise it when my wife said this is close to harassment. security took our painkillers(majezik) which were in their original case that is approved by ministry. overall we wanted to see our favourite artist and paid 40 usd per ticket so they abused our good intentions to listen some music. never, ever, ever again. shame. on. you. besides security, bartenders are helpful. sound and light system is really good. ventilation is proper. but what security did took away all of our joy for this place. i have been to top notch clubs around the world, they all searched me top to bottom but this is the first time i...

We went to the Mahmut Orhan live concert with friends at Uniq Istanbul. First of all, the VIP seats we paid for were in a very bad location, tucked away in a corner, yes we have table sitting but you can’t see anything. So, we left that area and moved to the standing section, which was much better. My advice is not to buy VIP tickets; they're not necessary. The drinks were plentiful, and the bartenders were quick and efficient. They served a variety of cocktails due to the Limits off sponsorship. The first 30 minutes were more focused on the orchestra, but later on, Mahmut took over and delivered an incredible performance. He's a talented DJ who will undoubtedly gain even more recognition in the future. Uniq Istanbul is a beautiful venue, and the restrooms were clean. It's definitely worth going to listen to...
