From the moment we ascended into the skies of Cappadocia, I knew we were in for a truly special experience. Leading our journey was Captain Meltem, a true maestro with over a decade of ballooning expertise under her belt. Alongside her, Co-Captain Çağrı seamlessly supported each move, ensuring our voyage was as smooth as silk.
The symbiotic relationship between Captain Meltem and Co-Captain Çağrı was evident; they worked in harmony like two sides of a finely tuned instrument. Their dedication to passenger safety was impeccable. We practiced landing procedures, and it was evident they took every aspect of our flight, especially safety, with the utmost seriousness.
Yet, it wasn’t just the captain duo that made the experience memorable. The ground and tracker crews displayed commendable diligence, from prepping our balloon to securing a seamless landing. Their efforts did not go unnoticed and genuinely added to the positive experience.
As we floated above Cappadocia, Captain Meltem's engaging commentary painted a vivid picture of our surroundings. From the breathtaking sunrise to the majestic sight of Mount Erciyes, an ancient dormant volcano, every moment was awe-inspiring. Her knowledge and genuine passion for ballooning were infectious, and it was clear she held the deep respect of her entire crew.
Our descent was nothing short of an artwork. Captain Meltem skillfully maneuvered the balloon along the hillside, using the terrain's natural features to guide and slow our descent, ensuring we didn't miss an opportune landing spot. When it was time to put our landing practice to test, every passenger played their part with precision, further testament to the thorough prep we’d been given.
The tracker crew's diligence ensured our balloon was securely fastened post-landing, and the brief yet heartfelt end-of-tour ceremony led by Captain Meltem was the perfect conclusion to our journey.
In summary, this Cappadocia balloon tour was not just about witnessing the beauty of the landscape from above. It was about the warmth, professionalism, and dedication of an exceptional crew that made us feel safe, informed, and truly taken care of. I headed back to my hotel with a heart full of gratitude and memories that will last a lifetime. If you're considering a balloon tour in Cappadocia, look no further. This crew is...
Read moreWe booked our flight through skyway travelballoons 3 weeks in advance and paid $60 more than booking a day in advance. We received a message the morning prior to the flight to confirm our pick up details. We were told pick up was at 4:40. We were ready waiting outside our hotel at 4:20. We were picked up at 4:30 with high hopes to see the sunrise from the balloon. Unfortunately other guests were not as courteous as we were and they were not ready. The driver was so kind to go into the hotel and ask for them, waited a maximum of 10 minutes and then left with or without them. The driver communicated to the setup team when we were on our way and they started preparing the balloon while we were on our way. The driver handed our tasty snacks to us as we got out of the vehicle at the take off site. The company did everything in their power to make it on time for the sunrise but unfortunately the balloon was still being inflated by the time the sun rose. The pilot and crew were highly skilled and experienced. We drifted about a meter past fairy chimneys and you could almost touch it. We drifted down into a valley to see up close and as high as 1.2 kilometres in the sky while other balloons were drifting past us. I was amazed when we landed on top of the trailor with the help of the crew. While landing they got Aapple and cherry juice ready for us. It was...
Read moreOn a TripADeal tour we had to go with their recommended company. We weren’t disappointed they were terrific. All balloon flights are sunrise only. Picked up at hotel and taken to launch site. We were given a juice and bread roll before take off. 28 passengers + 2 staff - corners 3 people and the 2 centre baskets each side with 4. You have to climb into the basket and the side are quite high so could be a problem for some. They place a seat belt around your waste but you can still turn around to see views from different angle even though a little tight. Also given safety instructions in case of emergency. Flight was at least an hour, rising high above the fairy chimneys and down low into the valley floors almost touching the ground and walls of the mountains. Many other balloons in the air it looked Absolutely magnificent. The pilot lands the balloon on the back of a trailer, skilful. Once landed they finished off with champagne and you are given a flight certificate. You can purchase a video of your flight, not sure if cost didn’t purchase. Such a terrific experience with the best view I have ever seen from a balloon. If it’s the only balloon flight you do it should...
