We walked from the Friendship Park up along a wooden walk way to the Tower, also known as the “Turkmenistan TV and Radio Center”. It stands at 211 meters (692 feet), making it the tallest structure in Turkmenistan. While it has an obvious technical role the best part is the walk and the views over Ashgabat and surrounding hills. This walk is worth doing.

Yang kental dan yg berani je sanggup naik tangga trail ni. Azab dia boleh tahan. Kena slow and steady kat tangga yg curam tu. Memang mengganggu jiwa kalau pandang ke atas, petua dia ialah target for small goals. Tangga sampai atas berapa ribu ntah. OK, ada handrail both sides. Ada pondok rehat jugak. Yg paling best ialah view dia, boleh banpak seluruh bandaraya. Abir and Dan, nak repeat tak?

A striking shape and a nice viewpoint overlooking Ashgabat. Since 2011, one of the most striking TV towers stands on the northern flank of the Kopet Dag mountain range. Because of this location and it's height of 211m the Turkmenistan Tower with its distinctive star is visible from almost all of Ashgabat.
