An Island Experience Like None Other

We’ve stayed at more than 100 beach resorts and I can say, there is nothing more breathtaking and awe-inspiring than Ambergris Cay especially if you yearn to experience luxurious island life.

No cars. No hotels. No casinos. No horses. No tourists except for the fortunate few who booked a beach bungalow or home.

Upon arriving Provo, you shuttle to the private terminal and then are whisked away in one of their planes. The 20-minute flight is breathtaking as you see the turquoise Caribbean bottom the entire flight. You land at their private international landing strip.

After check-in, you are shown to your ATV for your entire stay and can opt for a tour or head to The Clubhouse for a late lunch.

The island’s history is intense dating back to 1811, but it’s now owned by Turks & Caicos Collection, entrenched in the hospitality business and has big plans for development.

Only open since 2019, there are 12 beachfront bungalows (last six just opened in November, 11-17). They are incredible. Steps from the Caribbean and white sand, each unit features large living space, outdoor shower, small pool, spacious deck and beach lounge chairs. Total paradise. Oh, each comes with your own butler.

The island is fully accessible with your ATV and you can spend hours exploring. There is plenty to see and do: *Historic ruins *Remote beaches *Small marina offers deep sea fishing, tubing, and sunset cruises *Totally cool floating Tiki Bar reached by boat and complementary *Best resort fitness center I have experienced with top equipment, two Peloton bikes, and yoga pavilion like you’ve never seen with amazing views *Resort pool *Tennis and pickleball courts, all equipment provided *Tranquil spa *E-bikes, a total blast

Now the best part: Everything is all-inclusive except spa and boating trips.

The Clubhouse is open for lunch 11-4 and has one of the best resort menus including tuna poke bowl, fresh fish sandwiches, tacos, awesome salads and homemade pizzas.

Calico is open for breakfast and dinner. What is shocking is that they update the dinner menu daily and have incredible entrees from seasonal lobster, rib eye steak, inspired Italian and soup of the day. Food is superior and equal to Four Seasons quality.

The bar features top shelf alcohol, fab house wines, beers and cocktails, all included. They will also set you up in your bungalow and bring anything you want, replenished as needed.

The true splendor of AC is the staff of 150. They live on the island and understand customer satisfaction and go over the top to please. Within 2-3 days, you’ll know your servers by name. You will be fortunate to have Francinia, Marvin, Pedro, Joslyn or Jose taking care of you at Calico.

Driving the ATV around the island’s dirt roads is pure bliss with views of the Caribbean and Atlantic at every turn. This is what makes this place so special.

Downside? No golf. No marina for private yachts. We don’t play golf or own a yacht so no worries for us.

There are plans to build 6 more bungalows and 6 two-bedroom bungalows starting soon. There are 30 private homes on the island (we just stayed at the Dream Pavilion for a week and it was a dream and stayed at one of the bungalows in February) and they have a master plan to build up to 80 more. This will take years. In the meantime, it’s like a private island most of the time with only seeing guests at meals.

Overall, incredible resort, best value and beats any Rosewood or Aman property hands down. Thinking of Parrot Cay instead? Don’t, it’s not all inclusive and be prepared to spend exorbitantly high prices for food and drink. I’ve already...

I can't even begin to tell you how phenomenal this trip was. By far the most beautiful place that I have ever been to. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, everything was absolutely superb. I have so many things to share. The travel from Atlantic Airways to Ambergris Cay was beautiful. When we arrived to the resort, we were greeted by the staff and concierge with champagne and smiles and they really do make you feel like royatly. The water was stunning. The clubhouse was stunning. The Calico restaurant was stunning. The bungalow was beautiful and absolutely spotless. What I believe made this trip our best trip yet was simply the service. Victor was assigned to us and he was phenomenal with all of our needs and his communication, no matter the time of the day/night. We really loved all the staff though. Pedro, Nicole, Mikayla, JeanCarlo, captain John, Captain Myrlin, and so many more. Everyone was just so friendly and happy. If you're even thinking about booking, dont hesitate, DO IT. I guarantee you will love everything about it. We are already planning to go...

Perfect secluded Carribean getaway to relax, rest, and recharge! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ambergris Cay as the attentive staff sought to every need including Kathy's Celiac dietary restrictions (reassured by the GF focus from Chef Carmen and Raul). The staff struck a perfect balance of ensuring we had a personalized concierge experience while still providing the privacy you'd expect from luxury resort. We had the pleasure of meeting the island owner Lord Michael Ashcroft who was there celebrating his wife's birthday... big plans for the island are underway and construction of several new world-class amenities will continue to elevate the luxury...
