Kiira Rafting — Local services in Jinja

Very bad service from KIIRA pre and post management team! We lost our money Started with a ride in a rickety taxi. It was a very uncomfortable ride to the start point. Rafting was great. The team was great. We enjoyed it. The package included photographs taken, but the team lost all the pictures they took.. all we got were stories about how they lost the pictures. We paid the whole money and were offered pennies in return as compensation and a discount on the next trip (which we'll definitely not be taking with them). It was worthless and a bad experience for someone traveling from really far off. Not recommended.

Update: I did speak the truth - the loss of money was due to the bad service (not that anybody stole money, no, the team is really nice and trustworthy). Traveling from other continents and doing this activity with older parents who would probably never do this ever again in their life time - I minimum I would expect is to have photos for our memory. So that was a big loss for us. All we were offered as compensation was 50,000 UGX?!?!?! I hope you understand the value those photographers hold for your customers because that's what one takes...

The whole experience was exciting, and we appreciated that we could choose the difficulty level that suited us. At the same time, we always felt very safe. Our instructor Godfried was excellent – clear, smart and very capable. I would definitely recommend asking for him! The two safety kayakers were also very capable, strong, helpful and kind; they made sure everyone got back onto the boat quickly and safely, even those who couldn’t swim.
