Stay far away from Ride 4 Woman !!! They physically came into my room, without my permission and moved all my stuff to an inferior room, without my permission, without asking me, without informing me, while I was on the Gorilla Trek !!!
The way they told me they had moved my room was by handing me another key to a different room when I returned. All of my contents were out of my backpack (due to the hike). The staff physically touched all my contents (without my permission) threw it into a bag and put it in the inferior, substandard room, that did not even have adequate mosquito net ! (Photo attached)…
Then when I discovered they had dumped my stuff in a sack and left it in my “new room”, my Passport went missing ! They do not have SAFES in any of the rooms ! I immediately left after this happened and stayed at Savannah resort, down the road (much better service and friendlier people!!).
Ride 4 Woman is cutting corners. They are liars as their story changed a number of times to explain what had happened.
They have been corrupted by charity and care far more about MONEY and donations than CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. LOUSY EXPERIENCE. Stay Away. Attached are photos of MY STUFF they handled WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and the INFERIOR mosquoto nets !!! Shame on...
Read moreWe did not know what to expect when we arrived in Buhoma and our accommodation Ride 4 a Woman. As we arrived we could see immediately that Ride 4 a Woman is so much more than an accommodation. From the beginning we felt so welcome here and were shown around to learn about the amazing charitable organisation. The craftsmanship of the ladies and one gentleman in sewing and waving is admirable. Kind of a miracle in times of mass production :).
If you want to know what Ugandan hospitality means you'll find the right place here at the foot of the bwindi forest. During our stay (that we extended immediately for another night) for the gorilla tracking we were hosted so kindly and slept in a really nice room. Special thanks to the cook and Andrew: the breakfast, the packed lunch and the 3-course dinners were really delicious. Also special thanks to Evelyn and Dennis who manage Ride 4 a Woman, and Sharron....
Read moreWhat to say?! What an incredible experience we had with them. My partner and I spent an entire day in their company, and we never wanted to leave. We had the pleasure of taking part in their mirning prayers, cooking and waving classes, which were both fantastic. I have taken many cooking classes around the world and this was one of the best, there is so much to enjoy about Ugandan food. Charlotte, Edna, Glorius, Denis and the whole Ride 4 A Woman team were amazing, we learned a lot from them. It was wonderful to support their initiative by taking part in their activities and purchasing locally made products. Passing through Buhoma and not visiting them is a huge loss. For our next visit to Uganda we will definitely stay in one of their beautiful rooms and spend more...
