I would highly recommend Al Hudayriat Island to anyone visiting Abu Dhabi. It is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the natural...

Advantages: Very wide size beach. -play area for kids. free seats and umbrellas. -good staff specialy the lifeguards -beach area slightly not that dirty is catogrized as family area, ladies area, and couples. -there is a walking side. fitness area with nice instruments. there are food trucks. -Facilities like WC and showers. -play yards for football, basketball, volleyball. -other facilities like a changing room for babies and kids.

Disadvantages: -not really a good choice for family, is it really discriminate between them and other catogries, where ther are a nice seats for ladies and couples, family place have a damaged seat and less umbrella number, also dirty ones

The facilities are far away from the beach so it's really unconvincent

-Not sure if there are a proper place on the beach for singles specialy the men!!

-In some how it's not really well designed, e. x *where the family are has a kid play yard, just next to it there is the fitness(gym) area tools and instruments.

-No green areas or seating areas other thank the beach chairs , so it's just good to swim, and go.

Hudayriyat island is undergoing a rapid development with many entertainment and leisure projects coming up. Circuit X is an adventure park with lot of physical activities for children. There is a bike park with an excellent cycling track. Bab Al Nojoum resort has many fun activities to get indulged in. Abu Dhabi cycling club will be opened soon. There is a Heritage trail which is a nice walk discovering the country's heritage. The best part is that it opens at 6am in the morning. The beach is a long stretch of white sand with relaxing chairs to bask in the sun. There are many restaurants, cafes and coffee shops. Kids area has many activities for children. A rail keeps moving around for an enjoyable ride. There is also an open public gym. to exercise. Behind the kids play area is a long jetty where you can go for a walk into the waters which ends into a circular sitting area. You have a close view of a large HUDAYRIYAT hoarding in the water. An ideal place to take pictures with the hoarding in the background. There is a fish sculpture in the sand depicting the fish rising his/her head above water. The place lits up in the evening and becomes energised. A perfect place to relax and unwind and have a nice time with your family...
