If you are looking for some adventure then this is the place. The desert safari. If you do it at the very beginning of your visit to Dubai, you may think of coming back once more to do the same. If it is in the end of your trip, then this is the most enjoyable part. A welcome change from all the skyscraper skyline. Oasis Palm Tourism arranges for this safari in small groups generally in a 4*4 land cruiser. Desert being around 100 kilometers away from main city of Dubai, it is always better to start early if you don't want to miss the sunset. The road is world class. The best part begins when the actual safari starts on the sand dunes. It is a natural coaster, most enjoyable. They give a pit stop for the photo opportunity. After about 45 minutes of this most enjoyable adventure, Oasis Palm Tourism have their own resort area. Here there is a welcome drink waiting for you. Along with that there are some other attractions like camel ride and 4-wheeled scooter ride (to be paid separately, not included in package). There is entertainment like Egyptian dance and belly dancing. Dinner is arranged, with barbeque located in a separate area. The food is tasty. There are also clean washrooms. I opted the land package from Travel Traingle - Ebrahim travel agents. Through the land package I got Oasis palm local Dubai tour agency and very well organized agency. Very well spent day got Toyota cruiser and driver is technically certified. Ride through Desert dunes and amazing and thrilling experience. Food was average during the 2 hours stay in desert camp and almost entire Dubai most of the food prepared from frozen one like India, since I am from India , I gor fresh food. But please mind it since I am saying frozen in Dubai even in good restaurants that doesn't mean bad in taste difference in India and Dubai even Frozen food in Dubai with high in quality and hygienic. Since Dubai is very strict in laws pertaining to any wrong doings. You should not worried about. Cab is very expensive so please get the Dubai metro line map and save your money. Simply amazing. First they take you to something called Dune Bashing. You sit in an SUV with partially deflated tires and they they take you on a rollercoaster like ride in the desert through the dunes. It's amazing. It's a very bumpy ride so I wouldn't recommend people with a weak stomach or back to ride xD. Next they take you to a camp ( if u have booked for an evening safari ) and there you can ride on quad bikes, camels, get Hina mehendi, etc. Then you have barbeque night, with entertainment such as belly dancing, traditional dances, fire dances. Food has booth veg and non veg varieties. But they don't add much salt, so pasta or noodles aren't that savoury. But fried rice and dal rice with potatoes are really good. You get free Coke, carlsbergs, Sprite cans for free and water containers with cold water. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
