as a student here I have so much to say, parents honestly donāt know anything thatās happening so donāt say your opinion if you donāt go here, the bathrooms are dirty the teachers donāt speak good English they search your bag and give you no privacy all of my classmates think the same these are the rules for the girls section, hair must be tied, black shoes for the main uniform and white shoes for the pe uniform, nails must be short,,hair canāt be dyed,no braids,no makeup(not even clear lipgloss,if your late you get a violation, if you bring your phone not use it, but bring it and they catch you you could get two violations they kick you out of the class during break they kick you out of the class and lock the doors. If you try hiding in the classes, youāll get a violation. A lot of people got food poisoning from the cafeteria my English is better then most of my teachers no curricular activities The older sections have literally no activities or events If you try to pick up your kids early from the school, they will argue and argue with you until you leave. Once my mother tried to pick me up and said that nobody could pick me up because she had a doctors appointment and they asked my mother for the doctors appointment and to verification and for her ID for some reason and then they brought up a book of rules and started saying that if you bring them early from school, it violates all our rules and whatever also, the parking space is so messed up itās so messed up thatās a literally all I have to say I donāt know if you have time to read this but please do before applying to the school make sure youāre OK with everything also, if they take something from you, youāre not allowed to have it until your parents come to the school and take it even though you didnāt know the rules they still take it PS Iām waiting for my Lipgloss mascara. If you donāt give it back, Iāll take things into my own hands.(Iām probably gonna get in trouble but idc Iām saying the...
Ā Ā Ā Read morethis is a terrible school. the teachers and staff are psychotically masochistic while the students are hateful bullies. the teachers and students stink, the bathrooms are disgusting, and the staff gossips about you behind your back and treat you with no respect. they check tour bags with metal detectors and scream at you when you show any negative reactions. some teachers resort to hitting the students. the classrooms are messy, unorganized, and as loud as a jungle. as someone with an experience of both government and private schools, i can confidently say that not even government schools are this unnecessarily strict. this school does everything in its power to fix the most non disruptive problems and blow up on the quiet and calm students for the stupidest things (device usage, chewing gum, untied hair, nail length and color, hair length and color, etc) while they leave and encourage the actual problems and troublemakers to go under the radar (bullying, exchange of tobacco, cannabis, and other forms of drugs on campus, students and teachers helping cheating, skipping classes, mental and physical health problems, students harming themselves or others on school grounds, food from the cafeteria causing food poisoning, etc) the only time this school decides and tries to get itself together is when an inspection is happening. other than that, this school is a disaster for 99%...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs one of the students here here is my experience: The Emirates American School faces substantial challenges across various domains. The staff's inefficiency and lack of organization create a disconcerting environment, coupled with poorly maintained bathrooms that reflect neglect for basic hygiene standards. Student behavior is a cause for concern, indicative of potential disciplinary issues, while teachers seem disengaged, affecting the overall quality of education.
Adding to the discontent is the subpar quality of the cafeteria, providing limited and unsatisfactory dining options. Beyond these specific issues, the school system itself is flawed, lacking effective organizational structures and clear communication channels. Outdated teaching methods and curriculum further contribute to the dissatisfaction, preventing the institution from providing a modern and dynamic learning environment.
In essence, the Emirates American School must address these multifaceted challenges comprehensively to enhance the overall experience for students, parents, and staff. Substantial improvements in staff efficiency, hygiene standards, student behavior, teacher engagement, cafeteria quality, and the overall school system are imperative for the institution to regain its footing and meet the expectations of its stakeholders.
