I had such a good week at Northern Bootcamp! Whether you have a little or a lot to lose, or just want to be fitter and healthier this is the place for you. I lost 11 pounds in 7 days and am now a healthy BMI, and more importantly, I feel great! The experience, service and ethos at Northern Bootcamp really exceeded my expectations. To reassure anyone who is worried: you’re not shouted at, you’re not punished and you are definitely not starved – in fact the food is incredible and I genuinely never felt hungry, despite being quite a fussy eater. There is plenty to keep you busy with several varied workouts a day, and a chance to try some more adventurous sports like coasteering and rock climbing. The physical activities are tailored to test your personal limits and regardless of how fit or unfit you are, you will need to work hard to get the best out of every session. However, the knowledgeable team have a really good, encouraging attitude and their enthusiasm is infectious, they want you to succeed as much as you do. Definitely recommended if you want a positive, supportive and effective health and fitness retreat. Thanks to all the team up in Bamburgh!

I would highly recommend Northern Boot Camp to anyone. The days are packed full of activities in an amazing setting and I had so much fun! The instructors are all really friendly and knowledgeable and give so much encouragement. It is suitable for all fitness levels and will be adapted to make sessions easier/harder as required depending on how fit you are. Food is great and you will not go hungry. Accommodation is clean and comfortable. Had the opportunity to try out activities I had never done which was amazing, really challenged myself. That said you do not have to do anything you do not wish to do. I did not go to lose weight but lost 8lbs and 6cm from my waist. If you are thinking about booking do it, you won't regret it. I will definitely be going back..... Update! Just returned for the third time and the experience has been equally good each time. Further update! Just returned from my 4th visit and once again exceeded expectations! Roll on trip number 5! Sept 2021 - 5th visit was just as great!!!

Excellent exercise & nutrition tuition, & all comfort needs met. A range of different fitness levels & ages. Great stories & fun across participants, connections formed along along the way, in sweaty moments, around the breakfast/dinner table, or in the hot tub soak at the end of the day. Hill runs, beach runs, abseiling, weightlifting, boxing, hiking, body boarding in North Sea (with wetsuits), & so much more. Nature & adventure at the centre of it all. Beautiful hosting by the Northern Bootcamp crew. Nourished by tasty plates of food, & a real sense of being cared for. Increased fitness & a sense of connection, motivation & well being on the other side. This was my second visit, and I hope to return. A magic experience.

I would highly recommend Northern Boot Camp to anyone. The days are packed full of activities in an amazing setting and I had so much fun! I am a middle aged executive, with classic health issues attributed to a sedentary, businessman and busy lifestyle. I was over weight, lethargic and the most unfit I have been in my life. I had little choice but to impose my own shock to the system before nature did it for me. So, jumping in with both feet, I signed up to Northern Bootcamp. The accommodation is first rate, and the showers are of the type you just don't want to get out of. The coaches very quickly become friends, with a genuine interest in your health and overall well being. There is a warm, homely and safe feel about the whole place. Before you know it you are wandering around in slippers and PJs. The training is very well thought out, able to adjust to whatever level of fitness you have and most importantly without showing you up or making you feel insecure about yourself, irrespective of how competitive you are. The programme is flexible and adapts to the weather and the general mood of the group or individuals. I never felt left out or awkward. The training does deliver results , personally I saw a significant improvement in overall fitness and flexibility, and more quantitatively, I saw muscle grown and fat loss, with my body shape visibly changing in 7 days. The training is not your typical gym class, it combines a variety of activities that are simply fun, a lot of fun. The afternoons were normally outdoor, active adventures sometimes paddle boarding, abseiling or coastal walks along the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in the UK! The food is akin to what you would get served in a top London restaurant, only with a lot more thought as to it nutritional value. You will not go hungry and you will never feel that there is any calorie counting going on. By day two or three there was a real sense on family, a group of strangers, with common goals and values working together, supporting each other, laughing and sharing a real adventure. The whole experience feels safe, despite you pushing your limits and asserting yourself in a way that will surprise you. It has now been a week since I left the Camp, and the weight continues to drop off, I have learnt new techniques to train, eat and stay motivated, but above all I feel young! Without wanting to sound too dramatic, NBC has change my life, and I now look forward to more adventures with friends and family, better fitting clothes, clearer focus, and...

In April this year I lost 2.49 kilos (5.5 lbs) in weight and 7 cm (2 ž inches) from my waist in just 4 days. I want to tell you how I did it and how much fun I had doing it but I am torn. If everyone knows what Northern Bootcamp can do for them, will there be room for me?

I want to tell you Northern Bootcamp’s excellent reviews on Google and other sites are very much deserved. It was these that convinced me to go the first time in December 2017 when I lost 3.6 kilos. My experience is of an extremely professional but very personal operation dedicated to supporting you to achieve your fitness goals. You’ll follow a daily routine of morning warm up, a cardio session, then strength training followed by an adventure activity in the afternoon. You are always on the move, never bored and you’ll realise that after a few days that you’ve never repeated the same activity. Above all, if you have more than a single taste bud, I know you will appreciate the carefully calculated and tasty meals.

What a look at Northern Bootcamp’s web site will show is your visit is in comfortable accommodation in the heart of one of the most breathtakingly beautiful parts of the UK. Go, revel in it and take back home the memories of a dawn button run on the beach under the walls of Bamburgh Castle, a paddle through the arches of Stephenson’s rail bridge over the Tweed or a hike up the Ingram Valley into the heart of the Cheviots.

The return rate to Northern Bootcamp is very, very high - 13 out of 17 on my latest visit – which speaks volumes in itself. You learn and train alongside each other whatever your fitness goals. Everyone encourages and helps everyone else. All activity is under the guidance of the NB team: Caroline, Dan, Neil, Bruce, Tony, Carla, Annie and Leanne. The team members are qualified, experienced and hugely enthusiastic about your personal journey.

Since starting my regime last year I’ve lost nearly 20 kilos by applying what I learned about diet and exercise at Northern Bootcamp. I have guaranteed my place on my third camp in October this year by taking up the early booking discount NB offers. By the end of that month I expect to be another 15 kilos lighter and down to at least a 38 inch waist. If I can do it, anyone can especially with Northern...

One year ago, I was at my first Northern Bootcamp. And it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. All my questions up front were answered by the operations manager, she also helped me with the booking and gave me a good feeling to do this. Still I was very nervous on our arriving day, but the team made me feel welcome from the beginning. Throughout the week we had a wide variety of different sessions, exercises and classes and I loved the outdoor activities in the afternoons. As well we got tasteful, well-balanced, healthy food and snacks served by the wonderful kitchen staff. To be honest this first week was extremely hard for me, for my body, and sometimes I didn’t know how to get through it, but the team was very supportive, they really believed in me and helped me to do it, and I did achieve much more than I would have ever thought that I’d be able of. And the team does really care for their clients. I had a lot of fun and pleasure working out with the other campers and everyone was so supportive. Also, we got a lot of useful information about training, food and ideas how to go on at home. For me this week was a real start for a change, not only the weight loss (I’ve lost about 5 stones since last summer) but what counts much more for me, is that I’m much fitter and I’m living a much more energetic and active life since camp. Because I loved it so much I have joined two other Northern Bootcamps and it was amazing to see the progress since the first one. On this way, I also want to send a huge thank you to the whole team, you are all amazing people, who helped me change my life and made me believe in myself again. So, everyone who isn’t sure if they should attend a Northern Bootcamp, I can only advice you: just do it! I bet you will love it too and you will achieve much more than you’d think. And it doesn’t matter how fit or unfit you are or for what reasons you want to do it; the sessions are designed for every level and everyone will work on their own suitable level. Just go for it.
