Welcome to Ballygally, a place with a very good natural environment. You can buy everything you need in the Spar store. But be careful that there are some rude people living in this town. If you get lost in other people's private areas, you will encounter cyber violence attacks, personal insults and criminal arrest warrants. I hope everyone who comes for vacation has a happy vacation.

First dip of the year! Calm and cold!! The tide was quite far out (7.45am) so be careful if you have children or a nervous dipper with you as it drops off suddenly in places but otherwise beautiful clean water, firm sand and no seaweed where we were.

Lovely place to visit away from the crowds with a beautiful scenic view. The place also has the Ballygally Castle Hotel which is right across the road facing the sea. One can even have a lovely drive along the sea side.

Beautiful serene beach with fabulous view out to sea and the rolling Glen. Opposite Ballygally Hotel, which has wonderfully sculptured grounds to meander around. Car park across the road and a great shop for all your ice creams and treats. Popular with open water swimmers and paddle boarders . Lovely and relaxing, revitalising way to spend a glorious day. The sound of the waves, children's delighted , joyful laughter and the fine warm sand make it a special place in summer. Can be windy at other times. The drive round the coast is spectacular, with the cliffs buttressing up against the sea separated by the road, leading to many wonderful towns and sites ...Ballygally Beach being one such joyous wee spot. Great way to...

Really nice beach and if you are into surfing it can actually pick up a respectable longboard wave in the right swell. If you see a powerful long period North swell maxing out the North Coast (and all the North Coast beaches are too big) then there's a good chance that you will get rideable and less menacing waves here.

Don't recommend it as a surf spot for beginners due to how out of the way it is. But if you are experienced and catch it breaking. Give it a try!

Nice hotel and...

Gorgeous little beach. Not very accessible for people with mobility issues though- access is via a long and rather steep concrete ramp. Beautiful scenery and views right across to Scotland. Quite clean but could be cleaner. Gets very busy in warm weather. Parking limited at busy times and you have to cross a busy road from the parking area. Not the biggest beach by any means but a beautiful spot on a sunny day. Worth a visit simply for...
