This is a very pleasant place to visit if you're in the area and want a good lunch/coffee in interesting, quiet, rural surroundings. No booking required and the bar/restaurant is open to the general public - if they let me in they will let anyone in! Nice staff. You can watch the golfers going about their golfing business on the fairways...and in the bar. The verandah is dog-friendly, whilst parking is safe for the car and the pooch as it is just outside, no long walks. Footpaths are adjacent to Rushmore, taking you (and your pooch) into the woods. Driving to the club gives you (on a clear day) a view of Poole and the Isle of Wight.

With Winter well on its way today was overcast and windy 🌬️ we managed 15 holes before the heavens opened up and we finished in the rain ☔️ after a hearty breakfast 🍳 in the clubhouse off we go ⛳️ The course was in very good condition and good challenge on the winter short course set on Forward tees, this did not make life easy as the wind 💨 certainly took your ball on occasion. The greens still had a good pace and still very true. The pro shop team are very friendly with a well stocked shop. All in good value for money ⛳️👍

WOW! where to start? I was quite simply astonished by the immaculate service by the bar team during a faultless day out. A young lad called freddie served me numerous times and was sensational in doing so, so polite and a joy to chat to. Definitley coming back soon and hope he is behind the bar again.

Drove up after reading and hearing good things. On arrival I was greeted by a miserable attendant to pay my green fee - who moaned at the decision of several my colleagues not to play and the money they could no longer generate. I paid my £30 and didn't respond - how could I? He was right!

However, after seeing the first hole (after taking a basic orienteering course to find the first tee) I was rapidly in envy of my colleagues who hadn't made the trip. The winter 'green' was more mud than green - we might as well have walked through and started on the second.

While the greens improved, unfortunately the general condition of the course did not, and several holes still being under construction, left a bitter taste in the mouth, and despite the protests of the miserable attendant, started to feel short changed for £30...

The course itself may be more challenging in August, however it's hard to say that when the three of us were unable to establish whether we were in rough or on fairways. Maybe it will be even easier then, as there are several holes on the Wiltshire side that are little more than pitch and putt holes.

Imagine my surprise afterwards, sat down in what is a nice clubhouse, with a lovely pint, to find that the course costs £60 in the summer months... my advice:...

A beautiful course, i absolutely loved it, it was in great condition the greens were perfect and a real challenge if you're out of position, the rough may have been a little penal (I lost 2 balls) but we're not meant to be there are we! lol. And where else can you play 9 holes in Wiltshire without bunkers and 9 holes in Dorset with bunkers? I only found one and even that was a pleasure to play out of! The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was excellent! If you get the chance to play here don't turn it down! I definitely won't. Thank...
