Facilties are very good. Unfortunately the member of staff i encounted today was incredibly rude. If you are looking for a nice friendly place where you will not get judged instantly and questioned I would recommend The Indy Climbing Wall. Came for a weekend away with my partner and wanted to climb on the last day and Beacon climbing centre has ruined my experience in Wales. I do not usually complain but I'd just like others to be aware. If you are not local or a returning customer already I would strongly advise to avoid beacon and find elsewhere so you do not go through a horrible experience of getting tested and humiliated by a "Professional" member of staff such as Indy Climbing. AVOID!...

The Beacon is a fully equipped climbing gym catering to all abilities, even the kids can have a great time on the crazy climb facility which is staffed and monitored at all times. If you are new to climbing you can book a lesson or two with an instructor and get a solid foundation. If you want to give Bouldering a whirl then there is a great facility for that, all climbing and bouldering routes are changed regularly so you will never be bored. After you can relax in the cafe which overlooks the climbing area. I really recommend...
