I never write reviews but feel passionately about revieiwing Chessell Pottery Cafe. I have been visiting the Isle of Wight every year and after several years found some great cream teas including Chessell Pottery. However, my family and I made our annual visit a few weeks ago and were highly disappointed with the service and the quality of the food under the new management. Both myself and my mother were so excited for our cream teas yet when they arrived I received a 'scone' which tasted like it had been drowned in vanilla and it had sugar crystals on the top. I would not call it a scone at all and I actually could not eat it. Reasonably priced aswell depending on which pieces you choose obviously but our 3 lads did a piece each and it cost about £39 just over £10 each which I felt was very reasonable.
The staff were all very nice and helpful and all seemed genuinely happy and interested in their...
