What a gem! ||Can quite honestly say one of the best campsites we have ever been to.||Totally off grid in the middle of the country with no signal. Self check in which allows you to arrive as late as you need to. A really well thought out site with everything you need. There is an information board when you come in including everything you need to know including directions to the nearest town, maps of walks, safety and general info, contact numbers, instructions etc. ||Large pitches were are casually organised and that you are able to choose. A small fire area with each pitch if you want to create a fire. An area to the back of the site which had three glamping tents. Lovely to see the cows crossing on the hill next to the campsite which you could also walk up if you wanted to. We also happened to go on a day where the RAF base that was near was very active so we saw lots of old planes fly over us - Really beautiful sites!||We did take a visit to the near village Barnsley and went to the pub there. Really nice local pub with a lovely outdoor seating area. Calm and chilled atmosphere with some good music, would recommend!||The nearest town that is larger Cirencester was nice to walk around, plenty of shops and lovely local pubs and food. If you need to buy food or anything Cirencester is easy to get to.||The site had an honesty box where you could buy firewood, lights and kindlings. There was a drinking water tap by this as well. The amount of facilities for the size of the site was amazing. 4 composting toilets as well as 4 electric showers. No exaggeration when I say these were the BEST showers I have ever been in on a campsite. Such good water pressure and temperature - They were also free!|There was also a good sized washing up area/kitchen area. They also had a undercover picnic area which anyone on the site could use - A really nice idea so people can socialise or sit and relax. Very clean facilities and managed well.||For anyone that has a converted van please note this site did allow our van which currently looks more like a builders van than a campervan from the outside. We are halfway converting this and you can only tell from the inside that it is a campervan. Great to be allowed onto this site and that the owner supported our van! - We did meet the owner Eloise on the last day and she was lovely! ||Quiet and relaxed site, great facilities, lots of space, very rural and in a great area!||We would definitely return to the site...

Read moreThis was our first time staying at T Barn, and it did not disappoint. We were attending the nearby RIAT 2025 and wanted somewhere not too far away but nothing too packed. We had to set off after school on Friday so didn't arrive until around 8pm and there were already a number of families pitched and enjoying themselves. The directions supplied were perfect, we picked our pitch and let the girls explore, they were straight up the huge hill to see the gorgeous sunset and view.
We wanted something off grid and this was perfect, the compost loo's (there are 4 of them) were fantastic, no smell and easy to understand and use for those that haven't used one before. (we have). The washing up area is a great area, hot running water with great pressure and the detatchable hose to help rinse/clean plates etc. The showers were amazing (again 4 of them), the best we have experienced there is a little undressing/dressing area with some shelves for your stuff, a waterfall and a normal showerhead which you can switch between and great hot water with loads of pressure - totally amazing in comparison to some other off grid showers I have used.
Wood is available and is paid for as an honesty box with each pitch supplied with it's own ground firepit.
The only thing I would say is please put a sensor in the loo's that is a bit lower down, the light goes off quite quickly and if you are short or a child you are left sitting in the dark as it is high up and no amount of arm waving while sat there got the light to come back on. Or just remember to take your torch to the loo.
We didn't use the nearby pub but did drive past and it looked lovely and I would definitely like to try it if we are staying again.
There has clearly been a lot of thought and effort put into this small site and it shows. Thank you for a great stay and I am confident we...
