I pay nearly Ā£6 per child to come to Tigers and most of the time the lights arenāt on when itās dark nor the heating when itās cold. This only goes on when you prompt the staff to do so. So Iām guessing they are told to delay the heating and lighting for as long as possible until customers start moaning. Itās also dated, dark and dirty and run down looking in general. I say this not out of spite but after frequenting quite a few soft plays around locally and also nationally this has to be one of the worst. Itās only really good if you donāt drive and itās a last alternative. Which is probably why itās so busy In Daventry! Itās the first Indoor play Iāve ever had to make sure Iāve got the kids coats with me and this time it should have been Wellies too!!! Today has been a cold wet day and our plans had been ruined so I tried to salvage a couple of hours with the kids at the local soft play, and idea!!! It cost me nearly Ā£12 to get in which Iām not to fussed about but for the price they should definitely be looking at refurbishing the whole area. So I had been there for half and hour when the kids decide to go on the carasoul. So we all walk over to it not think that the whole area is going to be drenched from the rain outside!!! Anyway we all have soaking wet feet half hour in and no spare socks, which are compulsory to play on the equipment. So I go and tell the manager/owner Iām assuming but Iām kinda thinking I must be wrong now because no business owner would have tried to charge for new socks because of our feet being soaked because the floor is absolutely drenched which is no fault of mine. Anyway I told him what had happened and he said sorry but the wind is blowing the wrong way and coming under the shutter and itās Ā£1 a pair for new socks!!! To be honest I was shocked!!! For one that they are making enough money to waterproof the door!!! And also are you really gonna charge your paying customers to buy new socks be because their feet got soaked on your water logged carpet because you couldnāt be bothered to fix the leaking door or corden the area off??? Anyway all I can really say is if you havenāt ever been to the Hub in Northampton you really need to go, youāll never ever go back to Tigers again after. I hope you saving Ā£3 on socks was worth losing me paying for my 3 kids to come to tigers every week the next 10 years šš» Good move, great business sense! This is also going up on trip...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat an asttrocious experience! I went there with kids aged 4 and 6 and a friend with kids aged 2, 3 and 6. I bought the tickets online and when we got there, a bit later than our slotted time which was at 1pm, there was no one at the entrance to receive us. We pressed the ring bell, a girl saw us and ignored us completely. We waited about 10 to 15 mins for someone to come. When she came, she couldn't find our tickets. She finally found it, but then wanted me to pay. I showed her the payment of tickets but she still didn't know anything about it. She called for help, but nobody came for another 10 min. She mentioned that the 'others' seemed to just be ignoring her. Then a guy came and she left immediately. He then said he didnt know what her issue was considering everything was there in the system... By then we had already lost about half hour of play. Our friend was already in and had ordered the food for all of us as soon as she entered so shouldn't be long for the kids to have something to eat. We'll, that was wrong. It took about another hour for 2 pizzas to come out. And the whole rest of the order were missing. They kept bringing the wrong thing to the table. Then they announced the kitchen was shut but our order had still not arrived fully. Her kids didn't get any of the food they had ordered. Many people kept going to the counter to complain that they hadn't yet received their food either. Apparently the chef was off sick but the guys over there just didn't know what they were doing. It was about half hour for our slotted time to finish and no food yet. Then they brought us a portion of chips absolutely cold. Then one of her kid's meal, also cold. We complained and asked for the refund of all the food we've ordered amounting over 60.00, which we haven't received (a part from the pizzas) and they advised they could not refund. They called the management but still nothing. The session ended and some people were just about getting their food now. Terrible, a complete disaster. My friend's kids were starving. They gave my friend some vouchers for the next visit.. But to be honest, who would want to go back there. Not mentioning the toilets... They were out of this world dirty. Totally disappointed. I felt we've spent more time waiting and having to deal with completely useless staff, than playing. A total nightmare. Definitly not going...
Read moreWe visited fairly regularly and always think the staff are friendly and polite (especially several of the young lads) until it all went wrong last week when I visited with my 1 year and 5 year kids. Ordered food and drink at 11:30am and paid £11.55. Food didn't come after 40 minutes. Went to the counter to check and was only then told by the lady who placed the order they didn't have spaghetti bolognese. No blame on her and she didn't know until she checked with the chef. I then have to cancel the SB and ordered some other food and paid an extra £6. She offered to put this order in priority.
Waited another 15 minutes and nothing came but it appeared food were being delivered to other customers. So checked again, but this time served by an older lady. I was told by her there was a delay because their chef fell over (not because they don't have SB??) and had to go home. I was given no option but to have a refund as apparently she was not prepared to serve the food anytime soon and refusing us food at this point will HUGELY relieve her!! This is 1 hour after the initial order was placed. You can imagine kids were not very cooperating at this point.
I appreciated chef's misfortune but the problem was that this lady was VERY VERY rude and not apologetic for failing to deliver food after 1 hour at all, and didn't realise kids have been waiting not very much of me !!!
I could not bear anymore and agreed a refund. Then something funny happened. This very lady put £12 on the table and said this is my refund. But I paid £17.55 in total. I did got a coffee but it didn't add up. Told this lady and again VERY rude and refused to look at the numbers again.
At this point the owner came. Did a thorough job and looked at the small numbers on the receipt roll (I didn't ask for receipts as I paid on my cards so did have a record) and found I did paid £11.55 first time and then £6 the second. Give me a refund of £17.55. He even offered me a half-price voucher for visiting next time but I politely declined the offer. I got my money back and took the kids to a very nice restaurant. So a very happy ending!
The 1 star rating was given on the basis of: poor overall management on the day poor coordination between the counter and kitchen poor customer service by this particular lady very...
