When going for the first time I was hooked, usually go sea fishing which as many of you sea fishers will know it can be hit and miss, going to this fresh water establishment was for me a guaranteed catch, every time I have been I have caught in the double figures. There are a number of different lakes to fish on (think it's around 8 but dont quote me on that), personally I would suggest fishing on the Luxor spot as the fish are more active. The fish vary in weight but do definitely go pasted hitting the double figures. Staff are very friendly and equipment can also be hired from them. A leading mat MUST be used at all times when bringing 8n the fish for de-hooking (site rules for safety of fish). There is a snack shack located on site, you can take there number ring them and have food cooked and prepared ready for you to pick up. Gates to the site do close around 8:30pm and 9pm but do believe this can change to suit them. Fishing licence is £6 for a 24hour, this can be purchased at your local post office, when you have arrived on site there is a further £17 charge for you to actually fish there with a maximum of 2 rods per person. Dogs are allowed but have to remain leaded, There are toilet facilities dotted around which are also well taking care of but would suggest talking a light if fishing over night as there are not, to be fair I would take some type of head lamp or electric lantern. Will add more pics for every time I go. Happy fishing.

We didn’t catch a great deal but I think that’s more to do with us not having a clue what to do. We arrived as complete novices hiring all of the required equipment and left as seasoned anglers. We caught 3 fish but saved the best to last (see photo), it took three long, hard hours to land this monster but it was worth it. Really helpful staff and wonderful lakes which are clearly well stocked as we could see many anglers around us landing far, far bigger than the monster we pulled out.

My young lad asked me to take him fishing for the first time so from reviews we chose to visit bake lakes at Trerulefoot! What a great day it was and the staff were superb with tips that were very welcome to a very rusty angler on which lake to fish! Lad caught a beautiful 8lbs carp on the first cast with a boilie and that was him hooked literally! Planning the same trip next week! Would highly recommend this place for anyone starting out or experienced angler!

Good fishing and the surroundings are so peaceful and full of wildlife, it really is a beautiful place to spend the day. Every lake offers something completely different, whether it be carp, silvers, perch, tench, eels or pike. Staff are very friendly & helpful and keep the place immaculate, they've spent a lot of money in the last year or so re-stocking the lakes, bankside maintainance, toilet block installation and so on, there is even an independent cafe on-site that does hot and cold snacks and meals that are absolutely superb. Keep up the good work, hope to visit again...
