Well what an amazing place this is. From the tranquil setting to the delicious food and beverages served in the cafe, and not least of all because it has fantastically well managed and stocked lakes for both course fishing and Trout fishing. The sheer amount of wildlife that surrounds you and keeps you company as you while away a few minutes or hours is a pleasure in itself. The onsite shop has a well stocked supply of everything you need if you want to buy equiptment, however you can be provided with everything you need to fish any of the lakes as part of your fishing experience there. The staff are very knowlagable too and are allways happy to help with a level of enthusiasm that is clearly too lacking in other fishing venues I'm afraid. So to have this level of customer service is quite a breath of fresh air. Suffice it to say that if you want to have the very best day out with lovely food and beverages, and whether you chose to Fish or just enjoy the sheer nature, tranquility and spectacular wildlife you are assured of an amazing experience that the whole family can enjoy together. I for one will be returning as soon as possible. Well done and keep up the good work. Finally if I was able to give 6 Stars I would as 5 doesn't...
Read moreOn a recent run out on my classic Vespa whilst touring the area i noticed the sign for the fishery and cafe, as a keen trout fisherman i thought i would pop in for a nosey, a coffee & cake, Fishery and cafe and staff were all fantastic. When ready to leave disaster struck and Vespa had a mechanical meltdown. Tom @ the fishery couldn't have been more helpful supplying tool roll ( Minus the ever missing 10mm spanner ) to help me try a roadside repair. After having a go at roadside repair it became apparent that the mechanical issues were a bit more than first thought. Without any network coverage i was pretty stuck, Tom kindly called me a taxi and allowed me to leave scooter with the kind offer to be securely locked away. Fortunately we weren't too far and shortly after recovered scooter on trailer. So Thanks Tom and Eisteddfa Fishery & Cafe for...
Read moreDon't be put off by the fact this is a fishery if fishing isn't your thing, the food in the cafe is excellent and I can highly recommend the breakfasts. Food is lovely and fresh and the bread in particular was delicious. If on the other hand you enjoy fishing, there is plenty of options here from catching your own trout for tea to spending some family time catching smaller fish (and releasing them again). There are a number of ponds set within a nice landscape and with a peaceful atmosphere. Staff in both the cafe and the fishing side were really friendly and we actually ended up having a trout donated to us, which ended up on our plates for tea, and which was totally delicious. We're planning a return visit but to actually...
