Golden Star — Local services in Doncaster

I went to Golden Star today and I ordered some dishes takeaway. I've order Kungpo chicken, sweet and sour king prawn in cantonese. After I recived a meals, I check if order was correct but it was mistake I got "sweet and sour king prawn ball" and "Sweet and sour chicken cantonese" There were 2 reception staffs, a man and woman. I ask the reception staff to change it. The man who is English seems to be unfriendly said to me unpolite way that we got your order correct and blame me that it was my mistake. So is that really my fault? He's not seem to do anything or sort out, until the 2 Chinese chefs came up to the reception and changed the order for me. The chefs were very happy, helpful. Thanks to chef for sorted out. The reception girl was nice also but............ Im not impress with this awful English guy staffs. He's always look frown,unfriendly, not listen, bad attitude, bad behaviour toward to customer. No...

Very disappointed by our recent experiences of Golden Star, incident #1 we placed an ordered via the Donny Eats app at 16.31 at 17.45 the order was still pending, we tried to contact Golden Star (no answer) so we emailed the app as payment had already left my bank account, 3 hours later our order was cancelled. Incident #2 as we had successfully ordered via the app several times before we decided to give them another try, whilst our food arrived on time and hot, the quality of the food was very disappointing. The chips, chicken balls & spare ribs were over cooked, the Thai Red Beef Curry was bland and the Chicken Satay Sauce was also bland, very mild, with a taste & texture very different to any other Chinese takeaway or restaurant satay sauce I've ever tasted it was more of a peanut paste than a satay sauce. I'm not sure if they have a new chef but we won't be ordering...

So I'm at the tickhill road hospital every couple weeks and after my appoitments we usually pick up some food, and it's usually from golden star.

The foods good and you get good portion sizes and we enjoy chatting to the staff, It's a nice environment . I''m not sure why someone gave it a 1* for few vegetable based options because my daughters a vegetarian and we just pick things off the menu and ask for vegetables to substitute the meat and they do it and lower the price for us... can't please evveryone I guess..
