Absolutely stunning beach with sand for miles! The water is crystal clear and on a hot day, you could be abroad! Perfect for families, young children and paddle boarders! Watch the tide when it comes in though...a family almost got cut off as it sweeps in behind you and forms a sand bank and if your facing the sea you wouldn't notice it. There are many ways to it but we came from a nearby holiday park. There is no path way from here as it is pebbles and they are piled quite steep.... prams need to be carried over this part so it's not wheelchair friendly nor friendly for those unsteady on their feet...but once you pass the pebbles you have endless sand. Watch out for jellyfish and weever fish!! Especially when the tide is coming in...so highly recommend you wear swimming shoes. When the tide goes out, it leaves a shallow pool which is perfect for toddlers as it warms up all day in the sun! The tide does come RIGHT IN leaving absolutely zero beach but if it is calm it does leave a tiny strip of soft sand for you to move too. 9 times out of 10 it's fully in to the pebbles so make sure you visit just as the tide is going out to make the most of your day. No toilets but if you walk to the away resorts site barmouth bay holiday Village...there is a pub with toilets, chippy and sweet stall that sells hotdogs, doughnuts and coffee etc. This beach is also perfect for a family game of rounders/badminton so pack your outdoor games. Also...be very aware of rip currents! This beach is NOT LIFE GUARDED so its Best you go swimming when the tide is coming back in...

Great beach access along a small decked walk way. The stone/ pebble section at the beach end however mean that there is no access for wheelchairs down onto the sand and.atbhigh tide I doubt any sand would be visible.

Be careful if not parking in the car park. There are two grass verges and cars parked on the verge next to the double yellow lines were getting ticketed by the local council. The cars parked on the left were fine but with only about 10 spaces you can't rely on getting one.

Finally the access road is narrow with cars frequently having to reverse to let others past. It is this last aspect that ruins this beach for me as it was fine for a one off visit but it was much easier, and cheaper, parking in the main Barmouth carpark, with the benefit of all the town's...

The car parking can be overcrowded at busy times with the road and car park completely full. Off peak there are plenty of spaces.

At the end of the ashpalt/wooden pathway is a picnic table in it's own fenced area for anyone who needs a rest after traversing the modern wooden fenced path which is easier walking than many beachside sandy paths in this part of Wales and protects the dunes.

A nice beach, although close to the shore is a wide strip of rocks. Past these though is a large clean sandy beach. The strip of rocks, which has a rather steep slope facing the sea, makes walking difficult to approach the sand which is flat and easy to walk on. A good spot to visit and...
