Claife Heights — Local services in England

We had a lovely springtime walk on a sunny day up here. The hills here are relatively gentle and manageable even with children, paths are well marked and clear (though not suitable for buggies etc). There are some picturesque tarns and beautiful views within easy reach and numerous options for a circular walk taking in forested areas, hills and moorland.

Good place to get away from the crowds in the summer without much effort and great views. Great for getting out on the Mountain Bike as there are some good bridleways and challenging trails to be found. also can easily be linked in with a days ride around Grizedale Forest.
