Very quiet beach/Bay. No good for paddling or swimming but the rock pools look good for crab hunting.and if your lucky they is fossils in the mud cliffs, which we found quite a few.access was through the woods an down a staircase cut in the mud which was quite fun but would be tricky for some people.. we left by climbing up the hill behind the furthest pillbox an into Cayton bay which is quite a adventure of a climb.. 2 ww2 pillboxes cast a eerie stare over the bay.. well worth the walk..

Pleasant walk from Sea Cliff Rd Car Park along the Cleveland Way heading away from Scarborough. Access is possible with care along the path at the first junction you come to along the way, just turn left and head downhill, and this gives you access to the bay. There are two old pill boxes, the closest one is accessible, the one farther away less so. Keep and eye on the tide times No facilities, but very peaceful area

Great beach! Very quiet as it's a bit difficult to get too. A steep slope followed by rocks to clamber over. I got a bit muddy. A stout pair of walking boots needed. Fun exploring the WW2 Pill Boxes.

Absolutely beautiful here, never heard of it before until I was exploring Google maps and came across it. There's two world war two pill boxes here and it's often very quiet here. The walk down is pleasant and there is on street parking close to the pathway down. It's a far stretch away from the more touristy area of Scarboroughs south bay. How refreshing. A...
