Visited merry go round on a Tuesday evening around 8pm. Family occasion visiting from 5 hours away we looked at these reviews and thought we would try it but I wish I didn't now. Firstly walking in we were asked if we wanted to sit where the quiz is or somewhere quiet and I said we are just eating somewhere quiet. This wasn't quiet at all, the microphone was loud blaring above us we couldn't hear each other speak ruined the atmosphere. The nut allergy procedure is rubbish compared to places like wagamama. You are handed an iPad and when they bring the food out its different people serving that dont make it clear which one is for nut allergy etc so be careful if you decide to visit. When all the food came out (£80 + worth) it all looked burnt, drab and we would of been better going to mcdonalds for our money. The chips and onion rings on each plate were either anemic or burnt and I picked out 2 things from my gammon dinner so I took my meal to the bar and showed them the string and hair i pulled out they tried arguing the fact it was egg yet the long white string/hair was found in the middle of my chips. I said they are lucky the whole table isn't turning their food away it was poor service and poor food. Chicken was over cooked along with the burgers. They are more bothered about the quiz night locals than they are trying to make a good impression on new customers. Craig the chef had an attitude and the girl at the bar did too. We will never return. The staff made us feel like we were just an annoyance and they couldn't be bothered and just served us horrible meals. Never again I have receipts to prove my visit and I complained at the bar which they couldn't be bothered to deal with too bothered about their regulars. Also no decent drinks on tap no full fat coke anywhere so I had a dr pepper which was like water. Waste of money don't bother going for a nice meal. Disgusting food no consistency and no...
Read moreWhat great place to go with the kids. You can eat in the family pub, where there is a great carvery and good menu at reasonable prices or you can just go into the kids favourite place the Wacky Warehouse soft play area. You can also eat the same food in the Wacky while your kids play. It's up to you how you want to combine your fun. Safety is at the forefront of your visit as the children can't get out unsupervised. This place is a must for the whole family. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and family orientated. With wheelchair access, carparking and baby changing facilities what more could a family want. Thanks to the staff for making our...
Read moreI have two kids, one is three and the other is fourteen months, I paid the same price for both despite the fact that my fourteen month old can't use half of the soft play. That needs looking at because it doesn't make sense. £7.50 for one hour? That's really expensive! On the bright side, at least you can use your £2.00 parking fee towards drinks etc, well that's if the staff actually deduct the £2.00 from the total. It didn't happen today despite me handing over my ticket. They are just too busy to concentrate on what they are doing. I also wonder when the place was last deep cleaned? My baby had on white socks, big mistake, they were black when...
