My first visit to this reclaimed Sand quarry, now managed by the Lincolnshire wildlife trust. The car park is just a short drive along a track from the gated entrance, not that obvious and easy to miss. Looking at Google/OS maps this is a large site with a variety of habitats. I would like to have given 5 stars for this location but the interpretation boards offer little actual information. A map of the site with indicated routes would have helped familiarise and choose a path, what to look out for etc. We visited two hides, the second one having fairly close views across a small island packed with gulls, shoveller, shell duck and other waders. We're planning to visit again soon as there's at least the same area yet to explore.

Free to visit this nature reserve, old sand quarry pits with lots of wildlife. Small car park area. Very peaceful reserve on the day I visited. Lots of good paths. A couple of information boards but they're fairly weatherworn. Plenty of benches dotted around.

Lovely place to take a walk on the weekend and watch the birds on the lake. The missing thing on the site is a map with the footpaths or walking signs. Very well maintained and with a good parking lot.
