My first visit to this reclaimed Sand quarry, now managed by the Lincolnshire wildlife trust. The car park is just a short drive along a track from the gated entrance, not that obvious and easy to miss. Looking at Google/OS maps this is a large site with a variety of habitats. I would like to have given 5 stars for this location but the interpretation boards offer little actual information. A map of the site with indicated routes would have helped familiarise and choose a path, what to look out for etc. We visited two hides, the second one having fairly close views across a small island packed with gulls, shoveller, shell duck and other waders. We're planning to visit again soon as there's at least the same area...
