Lake John Fishery — Local services in Epping Forest

Hi Yesterday was my first day fishing for a month and what a day it was .I arrived on site at 06.30 and headed for the small lake I got on peg 4 and set up . My choice for this lake which is a donut with an island in the middle by the way was a Banjo feeder with a 4" hook length 8lb . By 8.30 I had landed 4 good size carp I think they go 8/10lb in this lake which one of the 3 was by 12.30 which for me is packup time because it's a hours drive home but it's worth the drive,I had landed 14 carp &1 bream.The owners are friendly and helpful the site is clean (Toilet is spotless) give it a visit you will be surprised.great days...

Amazing place! It was my first time with a fishing rod in the last 20 years. It was nice, calm, private, and it isn't something big, but there is enough space for everyone to have their little bit and catch a good few fish. The people are very nice and kind. The toilets are also really nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is trying fishing for the first time, or wants to go...
