Went for a meal and bowling. We were told that the menu was limited as they were just reopening for food. But the menu really was limited as many of the items were off when we ordered. I ended up having the beef burger which was very dry and just a burger in a bun and one of my fellow diners had a lamb burger which was the same. Staff were very polite but quite disorganised and didn’t seem to have a system proved when they brought out our desserts before our table had even been cleared. Also had to go and ask for cutlery as none seemed forthcoming. Fortunately we went mainly for the bowling so we laughed the experience off but on another day it might not have been so funny. Felt very sorry for the serving staff as there seemed to be no leadership during the dinner service. Have been going here for a few years now and this is the worst experience I’ve had there but I would still give it another go and out our latest experience down to a bad day at...
Read moreThe cook has a problem cooking frozen chips! They were anaemic and hard in the middle for both myself and my partner.
The soup was courgette which may have been good but I find courgettes a less than appetising vegetable at the best of times and is a strange choice for the only soup available. I chose not to risk it. My partners gammon was large and very good and my friend's salmon was ok
.My salad had a gloopy dressing over it without asking me if dressing was required and, as i'm a diabetic, I couldn't have eaten it even if I wanted to. There was no cheeeboard available and no desert which was not packed with sugar. They took so long to come to take the order for desert/coffee we left without either. As I had only eaten two very small savory tartlets I was very hungry and stopped for a sandwich on the way home. We won't...
Read moreBowling lanes were very very prone to make mistakes. In a single game, in frame had no pins places, at least three had pins fall over before the ball was thrown, two had the first shot of the frame be not counted and the pins be replaced, two had the barrier to prevent pins being hit while they are being placed be raised and then lowered again during the throw and one had the bumpers along the side of the lane not lower for the frame. Overall the experience was significantly below expectations however the system of paying by the hour rather than by the number of players and number of games should be employed in more places. I also did not appreciate the need to wear bowling shoes where in other places the trainers that I was wearing have...
