We booked a ride while on holiday, we sat outside for about 1/2 an hour before we saw anyone. Our presence wasnât even acknowledged. I went over to ask what was going on and I was told you were booked in for last week and you didnât turn up. I had the email booking showing I had the correct day. I appreciate there was nothing they could do about the mistake but they should have called last week if they had been expecting us and we wouldnât have had a wasted journey of an hour each way to get there.
In response to the owner - I couldnât work out to reply. Clearly the date was mixed up I definitely had 31st in my documentation - we were only here from 29th May-3rd June. I apologise if the error was mine but it definitely says in my 31st. Perhaps we could both learn from this experience to clearly stipulate the date. If you had rung us last week when we âdidnât showâ we wouldnât have had a wasted journey. I am happy to retract my review but think itâs worth noting that there could be a learning experience here. Customer service is very important in my opinion and I felt it was...
Read moreI went on 2 2hr hacks up on the Moors. For the most part it was enjoyable Dolly the horse I was on yes she is a lovely horse and perfectly safe but was stressful at times cause she just took the mic on both occasions some of the times. Dolly unfortunately is a large horse and wasn't comfortable for me to ride that really would be my only negative and is the only reason I dropped it to 4 stars would of been 5 if I had a more comfortable horse. I didn't say anything at the time cause am not 1 to complain and didn't really want to ask them to have the hassle of changing it.Am sure she be suitable maybe for some1 else. Holly was great chatty and friendly person that lead both the rides. I would easily recommend this place well organised friendly and had lovely horses. I enjoyed both hacks and would return again. Just I would ask for a thinner horse. Thats more suitable for my build. But fab place staff and scenery. 100%...
Read moreWe were in the Bamburgh area for a few days over half term. Our daughter has just taken up riding and we thought it would be wonderful for her to be led out on lanes rather than around an arena. We found this stables and it looked good and is in wonderful countryside. Unfortunately about 5 minutes into the ride the lady (who I think ran the stables) told my daughter off in no uncertain terms for putting her left hand over on to the right hand side. Perhaps thatâs something that you learn - my daughter had had 4 lessons to that point and hadnât been told that rule. The sternness of the tone really upset my daughter (Iâm not being precious), completely ruined the ride and, to be frank, the rest of the day as my daughter kept feeling that she had done something wrong. Good teachers inspire and encourage as well as instruct. This teacher only seemed to know the instruct piece. Wonât...
